This performance offers a vibrant tribute to The Art of Tea in its entirety, paired with other cherished favorites from Franks’ career. Amy Biondo is a Boulder-area vocalist, composer, and mentor with over 20 years of experience in the Colorado music scene. An artist whose work lives at the intersection of jazz sophistication and pop accessibility, Amy is celebrated for her talent for finding the hidden emotional pulse of a song and delivering it with nuanced precision and heart. Her rich, playful vocals and compelling storytelling provide the perfect contemporary mirror to the effortless elegance of Franks’ work. Joining the ensemble is special guest Charles Blenzig, Michael Franks’ musical director since 1990. Charles has toured the globe with Franks, recorded on several albums, co-wrote title tracks including Barefoot On The Beach and Rendezvous in Rio, and arranged an evening of Franks’ music for the Nashville Symphony Orchestra.
