Musical Style: Modern Jazz Born and raised on the Western Slope of Colorado, Liam Laird is a saxophonist and composer based in Brooklyn, New York. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and NYU Steinhardt, Laird will be joined by an all-star group of some of Colorado's finest young musicians. The group will present music from Laird's debut album, "Looking to the Sky," as well as selections in the Black American Musical tradition, ranging from hard swing to introspective ballads and electronic grooves.
