Musical Style: Soul, Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop As part of our 3rd Anniversary at the Arts Complex Weekend Celebration, lil piñon takes the stage at Dazzle. lil piñon, the nom de guerre and solo project of Joshua Randy Abeyta, is a singer-songwriter and lyricist born and raised in Denver, CO. His sound and style grew from a garden bed of poetry and conscious hip-hop, sown with the seeds of rock n’ roll, soul, funk, jazz, alternative, punk and folk, and watered with hyperempathy for the human experience, and harvested with one open hand and one closed fist. lil piñon is releasing his much-anticipated debut record titled "Don't Even Trip". The album is a collection of songs written across a 20 year timespan which deliver a unique perspective on everything form the personal to the body politic, and include an all-star cast of Colorado musicians. Come for a special presentation of storytelling, original music and a performance that will only happen once, and is not to be missed.
